L.M. Scofield Co. introduced Formula One Lithium Densifier MP (multi-purpose), described as a chemically reactive, colorless treatment designed for use on colored concrete floors, in particular for ground and polished architectural concrete applications. The product is reported to produce a floor surface with improved abrasion resistance, greater gloss retention, higher surface compressive strength, and reduced dusting.
The formulation can be diluted on site with clean water up to a ratio of 1:1 when treating high-quality, hard, steel-troweled concrete floors. For porous or low-quality floors or floors with characteristics that are not known, the product should be used at full strength.
The product has zero VOC content, and is designed to provide longer life and higher reflectivity (gloss) for colored concrete and ground and polished concrete floors of all types. The treated and finished concrete yields a surface that is nontoxic, easy to maintain, and with a low to moderate sheen, the company says.
