A newly upgraded version of a low-pressure proportioner from Specialty Products Inc. is designed to provide higher capacity for polyurea application.

Specialty Products Inc. has redesigned the LPG low-pressure proportioner with a higher-output pump.

The LPG, first introduced in 2009, has received a redesign, with a pump that’s capable of an output of up to 1.2 gallons per minute, as compared with the unit’s previous .75 gpm capacity. SPI also offers custom pump options, including a low-output pump (for spraying slow-set polyureas on overhead and vertical surfaces) and a 2.4 gpm pump (for high-output pour foam or polyurea applications).

Adjustable Flow

“The larger pumps for increased output result in labor savings when compared to the original .75 gpm pumps,” said SPI Vice President Chas Weatherford. “Additionally, with the higher output capability, the SPI Lock and Load gun still allows the applicator to simply adjust the output from zero to where ever they’d like, depending on their application, with the adjustable flow control dial.”

The LPG uses 110 volts and can plug into a standard wall outlet, according to SPI. The portable unit weighs 76 pounds and features a digital flow meter that displays tenths of a gallon.

The new 1.2 gpm pump can also quickly be retrofitted onto older LPG models, according to the company.
