Free Webinar to Cover Abrasive Blasting Safety

Safety equipment for abrasive blasting will be the topic of a free webinar to be broadcast Wednesday (May 17) by PaintSquare.

Tom Enger of Clemco Industries Corp. will discuss abrasive blasting, the health hazards associated with it, and the methods used to protect workers.

Tom Enger of Clemco Industries Corp. will present Personal Protective Equipment for Abrasive Blasting at 11 a.m. EDT (8 a.m. PDT). In the presentation, he will discuss abrasive blasting, the health hazards associated with it, and the methods used to protect workers. Participants will be eligible to receive credit from SSPC.

About the Presenter

Enger is a Certified Safety Professional with over 32 years of environmental, health and safety experience. His resume includes heavy construction, explosives manufacturing, government affairs and a career in abrasive blasting for the past 16 years. Enger works for Clemco Industries Corp. as Director of Product Safety and is a safety resource for users of Clemco products.

In the free webinar, Enger will outline how employers must protect workers from hazardous dust levels and toxic metals that may be generated from both the blasting material and the underlying substrate and coatings being blasted.
