Webinar Explores Thermal Spray Coatings

Inspecting thermal spray coatings is the topic of a free webinar to be presented Wednesday, April 5, by JPCL and SSPC.

Dean Hooks, vice president of marketing and sales at Thermion, will conduct the presentation, “Inspection of Thermal Spray Coatings,” which starts at 11 a.m. EDT (8 a.m. PDT). Hooks has worked at Thermion for 15 years, doing a range of jobs, from constructing and repairing equipment to consulting on large projects.

Dean Hooks will present a webinar on inspection thermal spray coatings at 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 5.

An SSPC thermal spray trainer, Hooks will describe what thermal spray is and provide an overview of its inspection in the webinar. Attendees will learn the specifics of how surfaces should be prepared and how thermal spray coatings should be applied.

Attendees will also learn about various tools that can be used and tests that can be performed to inspect thermal spray coatings after application.

Participants are eligible to receive SSPC continuing education credits.
