Surface preparation equipment manufacturer and distributor Blastrac Global (Oklahoma City, OK) has announced the acquisition of Nilfisk Cyclone Technology from the Nilfisk Group.
Effective Oct. 1, the company is now considered a wholly owned subsidiary of Blastrac Global and will be known as Cyclone Technology LLC, according to Blastrac’s announcement earlier this month.
“The proprietary nature of the Cyclone offering along with its high productivity and performance reputation is a natural fit with other Blastrac products, which have always enjoyed the industry’s highest reputation for quality and performance,” Blastrac explained.
Effective Oct. 1, Blastrac Global has added Nilfisk Cyclone Technology to its business portfolio. Cyclone Technology reportedly manufactures surface cleaning machines engineered to deep clean outdoor surfaces more efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Deep-Clean Outdoor Surfaces
Cyclone Technology (Tempe, AZ) manufactures high-pressure and low-pressure surface preparation and cleaning equipment, using proprietary and patented technology.
The surface cleaning machines are engineered to deep clean outdoor surfaces more efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way, according to the company’s website.
Certain models in its high-pressure line were developed for runway rubber removal and airfield paint and marking removal, with another designed for paint and marking removal, surface preparation and seal coat removal.
Products in its low-pressure line are touted as ideal for coated surfaces, asphalt, porous/pervious asphalt and concrete, pavers, parking garages, elastomeric coatings, and thermoplastic markings, among others.
Blastrac expects the addition of high-pressure and low-pressure surface preparation and cleaning equipment to its product catalog will enhance its position as a solution provider for surface preparation projects using a “toolbox” approach, it said.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cyclone Technology will operate as a separate entity within the Blastrac Global Group. However, Blastrac noted, the Group intends to use its global sales and distribution centers to assist in sales and service activities in order to enhance the experience of Cyclone customers, as well as to provide a differentiated offering compared to Cyclone competitors.
Bill Bamford will continue to serve as vice president/general manager of Cyclone Technology LLC.
All employees of the Cyclone team will remain with the company upon completion of the acquisition.
