Issue Highlights

The July 2014 digital issue of JPCL Europe includes:

  • Q&A: Maintaining an oil refinery, Assistant editor Dan Mobbs talks with Andy Smith, a UK-based engineering manager, about coating challenges and solutions, inspection criteria and long-term planning;

  • Greetings from Dubai, Editor-in-chief Brian Goldie shares what he learned at this year's Middle East Coatings Show and chats with exhibitors about doing business in the region; and

  • Is ego hurting your company? Warren Brand of Engineered Corrosion Solutions discusses how operating in a "culture of arrogance" can be bad for business.

New Marine Coatings Conference

The issue also includes an announcement of the first annual JPCL Europe Marine Coatings Conference, to be held Sept. 10 in Hamburg, Germany, as part of the SMM 2014 Trade Fair, one of Europe's most popular maritime shows.

JPCL Europe's one-day event at the fair is themed "How Coatings Can Contribute to a Greener Shipping Industry." The conference will feature experts from across Europe presenting on hull coatings and fuel consumption, as well as developments in tank and hold coatings.
