It blasts, it vacuums, it recycles—a new machine claims to do it all.

The Pull-Thru BVR is the newest unit from Atlantic Design Inc. The machine is a patent-pending pull-thru classifier with a built-in air wash, vibrating screen and magnetic separator.

According to the company, the machine can process steel grit and non-ferrous abrasives such as garnet and aluminum oxide.

ADI's new unit combines a pull-thru classifier with air wash, vibrating screen, and magnetic separator. The company showcased the 2,300 CFM, two-pot model in the exhibit hall at SSPC 2014.

The new unit has a grit transfer system that uses compressed air to transfer recycled grit from the classifier to the storage hopper. Multiple pot options are available with oversized grit storage, the company says.

All controls are 12VDC, eliminating the need for a generator, and control panels feature four-wire deadman switches and big mouth chokes.

Product Features

Product specifications include:

  • Cummins 190HP diesel engine;
  • 180-gallon fuel tank;
  • Recycling system with roots vacuum blower (Model DVJ 616);
  • Pleated polyester filter cartridges;
  • 2,000 CFM capacity vacuum system dust collector;
  • 950 CFM capacity air dryer;
  • 12VDC electric vibrator in the classifier; and
  • Heavy-duty bumper pull pintle type trailer.

Optional features include a double-chamber airlock for continuous dust discharge, even while vacuuming, and a sound enclosure.

About the Company

ADI, headquartered in Baltimore, MD, manufactures equipment including air dryers, blast pots, grit recyclers, dust collectors, negative air machines and vacuum systems.

The company also stocks replacement parts and provides engineering design retrofits, computer conversions, control panel updgrades and on-site employee safety training.
