New protective eyewear from 3M self-adjusts for a comfortable and secure fit, the company says.

The SecureFit 400 Series has self-adjusting "pressure diffusion temple technology" and adjustable nose-pads. The series also features polycarbonate lenses that absorb 99.9 percent of UVA and UVB rays, according to the company.

3M SecureFit 400 Series

3M says its pressure diffusion temple technology was developed after identifying about 600 touch points on the human face.

The series is available with clear or gray frameless lenses, as well as indoor/outdoor mirror anti-scratch and anti-fog coated lenses.

Temple Technology

According to the company, 3M's researchers developed the pressure diffusion temple technology after completing a study that examined different face shapes and sizes from around the world, identifying approximately 600 different touch points on the human face.

The technology adds a secure fit; the ability to self-adjust to a wide range of head sizes; diffused pressure over the ear; and reduced frame slippage during head movement.
