From Air Barriers to Waterproofing
The details of each association partnership with Durability + Design vary, but many involve the development and presentation of specific educational sessions throughout the conference.
Industry association partners for the event are listed below, in alphabetical order, with brief descriptions.
Air Barrier Association of America. This national trade organization is dedicated to education and outreach, technical standards and quality assurance for the air-barrier industry. Members include manufacturers, contractors, design professionals, consultants, and testing agencies.
Concrete Polishing Association of America. Founded in 2010, the CPAA’s mission is to build and maintain a high level of standards, increase awareness, and create desire for concrete when processed to a polished finish. The organization bills itself as the “only non-biased, non-profit trade association” in the concrete polishing industry.
PDA. Dedicated to the global thick-film high-performance elastomer industry, the mission of PDA (formerly, the Polyurea Development Association) is to promote public awareness, understanding and acceptance of polyurea and other thick-film elastomeric technologies through product standards, education programs, and recommendations for proper application and use.
Reflective Roof Coatings Institute. This an organization committed to leadership and expertise in the reflective roof coatings industry. The institute, established in 2005, offers membership to parties with an interest in reflective roof coatings, including manufacturers, raw-material suppliers, associates and contractors.

The show is designed to integrate the technical communities of specifiers, architects, contractors and building owners through their shared interest in building performance and aesthetics.
More than 30 educational sessions are planned on architectural coatings, air barriers, polished and decorative concrete finishes, fire-resistive materials, and sealers.
Two educational program tracks are available: "Materials Technology and Performance" and "Good Technical Practice."
The conference will also offer attendees the opportunity to network and strengthen their brand, including an opening cocktail reception May 21 sponsored by Sherwin-Williams and lunch buffets in the exhibit hall sponsored by Bayer.
The conference will kick off with a keynote address by Joseph Lstiburek, Ph.D., P.Eng., ASHRAE Fellow. Lstiburek is a building-science expert and one of the world’s foremost authorities on energy-efficient construction techniques.
