D+D invites specifiers, architects, contractors and building owners to register for D+D 2014, a conference and exhibition set for May 20-22 in Cincinnati, OH.

Additionally, two sponsorships have been announced. The Sherwin-Williams Company is a premier sponsor for the event, and Bayer is an official show sponsor.

Online registration for the conference is now open.

D+D 2014 is hosted by Technology Publishing Co., which also publishes D+D News and PaintSquare News.

From Air Barriers to Waterproofing

The details of each association partnership with Durability + Design vary, but many involve the development and presentation of specific educational sessions throughout the conference.

Industry association partners for the event are listed below, in alphabetical order, with brief descriptions.

Air Barrier Association of America. This national trade organization is dedicated to education and outreach, technical standards and quality assurance for the air-barrier industry. Members include manufacturers, contractors, design professionals, consultants, and testing agencies.

Concrete Polishing Association of America. The organization bills itself as the “only non-biased, non-profit trade association” in the concrete polishing industry.

PDA. Dedicated to the global thick-film high-performance elastomer industry, the mission of PDA (formerly, the Polyurea Development Association) is to promote public awareness, understanding and acceptance of polyurea and other thick-film elastomeric technologies through product standards, education programs, and recommendations for proper application and use.

Reflective Roof Coatings Institute. This an organization committed to leadership and expertise in the reflective roof coatings industry. The institute, established in 2005, offers membership to parties with an interest in reflective roof coatings, including manufacturers, raw-material suppliers, associates and contractors.

Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute. This international trade association represents the commercial sealant, waterproofing and restoration construction industry. Its mission is to elevate the standard of practice for the industry. Members include contractors, manufacturers and design professionals.

SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings. Founded in 1950, SSPC is a non-profit professional society focused on the protection and preservation of concrete, steel and other industrial and marine structures and surfaces through the use of high-performance protective, marine and industrial coatings. The organization has also maintained an interest in commercial and light industrial applications. The organization develops standards, guides for the selection and use of paints and coatings, and related materials.
