A leading construction safety organization has a free holiday gift for the industry: a year’s worth of ready-to-use materials to educate workers about daily jobsite dangers.

CPWR: The Center for Construction Research and Training has developed 52 free, downloadable toolbox talks on common construction hazards—one for each week of the year. The range of topics includes confined spaces, lead exposure, roof collapse, silica, wet concrete and workplace stress.

CPWR developed the 52 toolbox talks with National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

The topics combine graphics with brief, interactive talks and are designed to be printed as a two-sided document so that the graphic can be shown to a class or crew while the foreman or discussion leader uses the text to ask questions and read facts.

CPWR says it worked with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health to ensure that the series  incorporated effective elements, such as case studies based on real-life incidents, discussion questions, and site-specific actions.
