Preventing corrosion under insulation with a “sandwich” of jacketing, insulation and the right CUI coating will be the focus of a free upcoming webinar by SSPC and JPCL.
"Insulation Choice and Its Effect on Performance & Service Life of CUI Systems," to be held from 11 a.m. to noon ET Nov. 13 (5 to 6 p.m. CET), will discuss how specifiers can select CUI prevention systems that work well together in their particular corrosion environment.

The webinar will be sponsored by Tnemec.
Power Tool Cleaning Webinar Today
Another free webinar, "Steps to More Effective Power Tool Cleaning," will be held from 11 a.m. to noon ET (5 to 6 p.m. CET) today (Nov. 6). That presentation will focus on power tool cleaning and how to effectively remove corrosion, mill scale and coatings.
The presentation will describe a variety of power tools, both electric and pneumatic. The discussion will include how these tools are frequently used for spot cleaning of damaged coatings where contamination of adjacent areas by abrasive blasting is unacceptable and when a surface-tolerant coating is used.
Earl Bowry, the account executive for performance coatings at coatings maker Jotun, will present the webinar, which is sponsored by Montipower Inc.
Registration, CEU Credits
This webinar is part of the JPCL/SSPC Webinar Education Series, which provides continuing education for SSPC recertifications and technology updates on important topics.
SSPC is an accredited training provider for the Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE), and Professional Engineers in Florida may submit SSPC Webinar Continuing Education Units to the board. To do so, applicants must download the FBPE CEU form and pass the Webinar Exam, which costs $25.
