New Polyurea Unit Tackles Tight Spaces

Secondary containment spill prevention, waterproofing, truck bedliners and other projects that demand portability are the industrial applications served by Graco's new Reactor E-10hp High-Pressure Proportioner.

The new electric proportioning system for pure and hybrid polyurea coatings is designed for upstream, midstream and downstream projects, especially those that involve tight spaces.

With the unit's 240v model, "you're ready to spray in 20 minutes," the manufacturer says.

Graco recommends the unit for larger companies that need a backup touch-up system and for smaller contractors who are adding polyurea projects to their services.

Fast heating of materials allows contractors to start spraying in 20 minutes with the Reactor E-10hp's 240v model, according to Graco.

“It’s an affordable option for the entry-level coatings contractor who wants to get into the coatings business,” said Nick Pagano, Worldwide Product Marketing Manager at Graco. “Because it runs on residential power, there’s no need to buy a generator or spray rig."

Faster Material Heating

The Reactor E-10hp is engineered with boost heat and insulated tanks for faster material heating, the company said.

The boost heat uses extra available power from the motor circuit when the machine is in recirculation mode and applies the unused power to additional heater rods, according to Graco.

“The robust hybrid heater provides more power and faster material heating, which means more uptime and better productivity for contractors,” said Pagano.

Graco recommends the unit for secondary containment spill prevention.

The Reactor E-10hp is portable, compact enough to fit through doorways, and plugs into standard 120V or 230V outlets.

Minneapolis-based Graco Inc. designs, manufactures and markets systems and equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray fluid materials and coatings for industrial and commercial applications.
