Dunn-Edwards Paints (Los Angeles) converted its specs+spaces design publication into a blog site, which the company says will offer “enhanced features and more frequent content than the quarterly printed publication.”
The blog features design trends, news and artistic inspiration from industry experts, “tastemakers” and “rule breakers,” the company says.
The blog also offers design professionals a colorful array of photography, color palettes and feature topics on color psychologies and global color.
For example, one post in the new blog features a location where vintage Las Vegas neon signs go after they are no longer affixed to larger-than-life casinos and hotels. In another, the blogger details the stimulating inspiration that resulted from visits to the Los Angeles Art Show, Photo LA and Art Los Angeles Contemporary.

In addition to the blog, the company launched specs+spaces Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“We want to encourage discussion as people gain knowledge and inspiration,” Sara McLean, color marketing manager for Dunn-Edwards, said of the blog.
