My Dog Ate My Homework

One Sunday morning, the minister delivered a 10-minute sermon--about half the usual length of his usual talk. “I regret to inform you that my dog, who is very fond of eating paper, ate half of my original sermon,” he told the congregation.

After the service, a visitor from another church shook hands with the preacher and said, “Reverend, if that dog of yours ever has pups, I’d like to give one to my minister.”
