High Travel Positions in the Oil and Gas Industry for Military Veterans
Field Operator / Technician Position Description:
The primary purpose of these positions is to travel domestically and internationally to provide protective coating services to pipeline projects for a variety of oil, gas, mining, and utility industry customers.
Compensation: Targeted total first year compensation is ~$65K - $85K. When you are in the field, you are paid a daily rate that averages between $170 and $250 depending on your level, which results in ~$50K - 70K per year. You will also receive lodging and meal allowances when in the field. In addition, you will receive additional premiums for superintendent / shift lead pay when performing in those roles, non-field premiums when home from field between projects, and certification premiums when achieved.
Location: You can live / be based anywhere in the continental U.S.
Travel / Work Schedule: After receiving several weeks of training in Tulsa, OK, you can expect to regularly be assigned to projects for up to three months at a time. Upon completion of projects you will return home for several weeks for down-time, training, etc. then the cycle will repeat. Projects can be anywhere in the world, with a significant amount of work available throughout the U.S., Canada, Peru, Brazil, Chile, offshore, and Saudi Arabia.
