NACE Painting and Coatings Inspector

Primary objective is to monitor and maintain quality and safety standards specified by the company in order to ensure that the finished product meets those requirements.

JOB DETAILS:

Ensure all inspection and testing is carried out to specified requirements that have been agreed between the company and the client

Ensure project operations and applications are compliant with SSPC QP1 & QP2 requirements

Work with site managers, suppliers, lab, and vendors to ensure quality application of coatings.

Visit site to take samples of coating and inspect coating, document and to discuss possible problem or issues with operations and institute an action plan for resolution.

Maintain records of supplier/vendor product performance to analyze and make decisions, regarding which suppliers can be relied on to meet specified requirements,

Keep records of all the tests they carried out, analyze their results, write and present a report to show findings.

Responsible for declaring the coating or application is not safe or is not of the specified quality.

If there is a problem, quality control inspectors will meet with staff to determine the root cause of the problem and to decide whether current processes need to be changed.

Explain your finings clearly and make recommendations for improvement.
