Director of Quality and Productivity Corporate Level

Position Summary:

Ensure that the product or service is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. Position is primarily responsible for identifying, managing, and leading process improvement, quality assurance/control, process audits, and maintaining the quality and reliability of products and services. Provide leadership and direction with respect to Quality Management, Policies and Control, adoption of Six Sigma and Lean abilities and reportable metrics and/or KPI regarding process quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead large scale improvement initiatives or components of large, complex productivity improvement programs.

  • Collaboratively define future state business architecture and define components of work to deliver that vision over time.

  • Solve unique and complex problems, often with broad impact on the business.

  • Work with all functions and Line of Business (LOB) leadership to craft the strategy for Business Excellence and design/implement any associated work flows, processes and business rules.

  • Develops and maintains trusted, respected peer-to-peer relationships with executive stakeholders.

  • Works closely with the other support functions in the organization to ensure alignment and mutual success.

  • Analyzes and evaluates departmental structure, processes, methods and equipment.

  • Development of a repository of process improvement-related documents and pricing.

  • Supports the ongoing LOB development of repository process improvement-related documents and pricing.

  • Facilitate improvement in operating performance and work processes through fundamental rethinking and redesign of core processes.

  • Continuously manage stakeholder expectations and ongoing enhancement opportunities to maintain operational effectiveness and market competitiveness.

  • Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

  • Establish and track QA/QC compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.

  • Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.

  • Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements.

  • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

  • Administer, maintain and monitor a Company-wide calibration program.

  • Administer, maintain and monitor the Contractor Licensing program for all States in the US.

  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.

  • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.

  • Knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Construction Quality Standard.

  • Establish and maintain control and documentation procedures.

  • Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.

  • Collate and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters.

  • Establish testing procedures to determine a product's dimensions and its mechanical, electrical, or functional characteristics.

  • Develop and maintain a quality program which supports ISO compliance.

  • Develop and implement the QC management system to include utilizing an NDE /NDT program.

  • Develop a paint inspection program.

  • Perform inspections per NACE.

  • Develop and implement a certified welding inspection program for company and ensure its usage at all times.

  • Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards; both nationally and internationally.

  • Develop QA/QC auditing program and conduct auditing program.

  • Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the sites QC inspectors.

  • Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.

  • Expand quality related functions to include API, ASME, NBIC, and other recognized authorities.

  • Drive improved production and service through the use of technology.

  • Administer and maintain a current ASME and NBIC Program
