INDUSTRIAL PAINTER: The Protective Coatings Division provides industrial coating expertise and services for the Central Arizona Project (CAP). CAP is the largest supplier of renewable water in the state of Arizona. We operate and maintain a 335 mile long aqueduct and pumping plant system that stretches from our source at the Colorado River to the communities of central and southern Arizona. In this position, you will use a variety of application techniques such as brush and roll, airless spray equipment, HVLP and plural component equipment. Also you will travel to remote areas to work in pumping plants where you will encounter many different types of jobs like entering confined spaces. Also in this department the work varies from painting walls, floors, equipment, piping, and pumps to vehicles.*****
A successful candidate for this position will have a minimum of four (4) years of skilled journeyman-level industrial painting including spray painting and the use of epoxies and other coatings. Additionally he/she must have completed a state-approved industrial painter apprenticeship OR have an equivalent combination of training and experience (which must include an additional three years of related experience); a high school diploma or GED; and a valid driver's license and good driving record. Also, having NACE and SSPC certifications; a class "A" CDL; and experience with water jetting, sand blasting, and spray equipment are a big plus.*****
