The coatings division of a Fortune 150 Company has an opening for a Midwest Regional Sales Person for its Industrial Coatings segment. Location is flexible within the 11 state territory and travel is 50%+. This position has the responsibility for identifying, qualifying, pursing and developing new business opportunities with the objective increasing the sales volume in the Industrial Coatings segment. Activities include supporting distribution, identifying and pursuing projects, developing customer relationships, analyzing applications, making product recommendations, on-site inspecting and obtaining specification approvals.
This position requires good organizational, mathematical and communication skills, computer literacy, professionalism and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. The ability to formalize and conduct training programs is also required. Interaction with all levels of customers is essential.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of industrial coating experience and preferably a college degree in a related field. NACE or SSPC certifications are a plus.
