Goodwest has been installing specialty industrial linings and coatings for the water, power, oil, chemical, mining, steel, and other infrastructure-related industries for more than 50 years. We have a large facility in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and perform contract field work all over the western United States. Goodwest is a service-oriented company that is growing rapidly and looking for a key part to their ambitious and talented management team.
The Field Division Manager will be responsible for bottom line earnings of the entire field division. In addition to coordinating and managing all field work, the successful Field Division Manager will do strategic planning, estimating, hiring, project management, problem resolution, and develop and implement initiatives to reduce liability, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
Typical projects range from $10,000 to $1,000,000 and can include a total of five to twenty employees working on one to four projects simultaneously. As a part of having bottom line P&L responsibility, the Field Division Mgr. ensures that projects are completed safely, within budget, and with complete customer satisfaction. This position will report directly to the VP of Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Communicate with, motivate, and lead work crews effectively.
-Work and live on the road for 6+ months per year.
-Analyze potential safety hazards and recommend hazard control procedures.
-Perform and/or help with estimating when time permits.
-Take “ownership” of the field division, and understand how profits are generated.
-Financial analysis of projects through labor and expense tracking.
-Resolve problems directly with customer management.
-Establish job schedules and balance personnel / resource allocations for various jobs.
-Analyze and ensure compliance with detailed specifications and contracts.
-Possess proficient writing & xcel spreadsheet skills.
-Manage, estimate, and submit change orders.
-Manage customer billing.
-Manage material procurement and equipment deliveries.
-Make travel and mobilization arrangements.
-Corrosion protection experience a plus but not required.
-$90,000 - $110,000 annual salary with large bonus potential
