Job Requirements

• MUST be SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) C-7 through C-12 certified OR be able to obtain certification
• C-7 - Abrasive Blasting Program (C7)
• C-10- Floor Coating Basics
• C-11- Concrete Coating Inspector Program (CCI)
• C-12- Airless Spray Basics (C12)

Job Description

• Perform full range of surface prep tasks to include sanding and blasting
• Inspect, prepare and assemble painting equipment suitable to work being performed as a spray painter/operator
• Identify, prepare, mix and apply coatings to interior and exterior of U.S. Naval Ship surfaces
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and/or report inoperable equipment as specified
• Clean machines, filters and screens required for job completion and equipment storage
• Maintain safe work practice/environment
• Safely operate man lifts or any other devices as needed

Additional Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation
• OSHA 10 Marine Card a plus!
• Must have steel toed boots
