Production Specialist--Coating Machine Operator: 1st Shift-5:00am-1:30pm - Monday -Friday
Job Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for the lens preparation, machine setup and operation of the vacuum coating system, in order to accurately coat eyewear lenses in an efficient and timely manner.
Specific Department Duties and Responsibilities:
?Take initiative in keeping all areas clean and safe by following applicable housekeeping and safety procedures
?Clean, inspect and prepare lenses for production
?Preparation and setup of coating chamber with required chemicals and lenses
?Operate, maintain and troubleshoot vacuum coating systems and other lab equipment
?Inspection of coated and uncoated lenses for adherence to cosmetic, physical and spectral specifications
?Regular cleaning and sandblasting of vacuum chamber components
?Regular preventative maintenance to minimize down time
?Operation Monitoring-Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Required
?Must be at least 18 years of age
?High school diploma or equivalent
?Basic mathematical skills, ability to read in English, written and verbal comprehension
?Ability to function in a fast-paced production environment
?Arm and hand steadiness, manual dexterity
?Good eye and hand coordination with ability to see things in close proximity
?Ability to lift 10-20 pounds on a frequent basis
?Problem Solving and attention to detail with a strong emphasis on quality control
