Momber, Muehlhan AG This article begins with a summary of the first part of a research study on how edge geometry and coating type affect the corrosion performance of organic coatings on edges, with particular attention to ballast seawater tank applications. The article then reports test results from the second part of the study, which concentrated on the effects of various treatment methods and tools on the performance of coatings on edges in ballast tanks.
