Testing Permeation Resistance in Coatings for Wastewater Structures

The authors report on ongoing research about the effect of permeation resistance of coatings used to protect wastewater treatment structures. Early results indicate the importance of a coating's permeation resistance to sewer gases as well as acids.


Developments in Pipeline Protection Reviewed

The author summarizes some of the developments in pipeline protection that were discussed at the 18th International Conference on Pipeline Protection in Belgium last November. Primary topics included fusion-bonded epoxy coatings, three-layer polyolefin coatings, field joint coatings, and the rehabilitation of existing pipelines.
